Purchasing, Storing and Serving
Look for strawberries that have a bright red color, natural sheen and deep green-looking caps.
Strawberries are best eaten as soon as possible. However, they can be refrigerated in the container you purchased them in. Refrain from washing your strawberries until you’re ready to consume. To freeze strawberries, prep them as if you were about to eat them and place on a paper towel to dry. Allow the berries to lay in the freezer as flat as possible to ensure consistency in texture.
Before eating, allow the berries to reach room temperature so you may enjoy maximum flavor. Gently rinse them with cool water and remove the green caps with a paring knife or by lightly pulling on the green cap.
